Bob Hoskins insists he'd refuse to accept knighthood if it was offered

Veteran actor Bob Hoskins hides his awards in a cupboard - because they mean very little to him.

However, the Long Good Friday star has bagged various honours, including Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival in 1986.

"I've got loads of awards, and they're all tucked away in a cupboard. Nah, they're not important," the Daily Express quoted Hoskins, 38, as telling Live magazine.

And the actor insists he'd refuse to accept the ultimate honour from Queen Elizabeth II, if she wanted to make him a Sir.

He said: "A knighthood? You got to be joking. I wouldn't know who I was. I would wake up in the morning and go, Sir who? Sir 'Oskins!... I'd turn it down." (ANI).
