    NASA astronaut applications are due

    HOUSTON - The time is now if you want to apply to be a NASA astronaut. The application deadline is due Friday.After Jan. 27, anyone wanting to apply will not be able to sign up for the astronaut classes.The space agency said they typically receive around 3,500 applications, but only a fraction are accepted and even fewer make it to space. ...
